We are delighted about publishing our first colouring-in book! Each picture has been drawn by our teachers and learners and is a celebration of the every day at the SI – creativity, community and connection. Every illustration is an expression of their stories and imagination, which you can now also enjoy in your free time, or with your own children.
To celebrate the launch, we hosted a two-week community colouring competition from 16–26 March. Colouring pages and pencils were made available in shared spaces across the Sustainability Institute, inviting both students and staff to pause, unwind and enjoy a moment of creativity during their day.
The response was heartwarming. Participants of all ages embraced the opportunity and it was especially meaningful to see students and staff connecting through a shared creative experience. The competition also offered a wonderful way to showcase and celebrate the students’ artwork in an interactive and engaging way.

Why a colouring book?
At the SI, art isn’t something that happens after the “real” learning. It is part of the learning. Creative expression helps children (and adults) process experiences that are hard to put into words. Drawing, colouring and storytelling allow feelings to move through the mind in gentle, powerful ways. Art awakens imagination. It invites play and opens up new ways of seeing the world.

All funds raised from the sale of this colouring book go directly back into the Lynedoch Community School, enriching learning experiences and creative opportunities for the children who made it.
We know that imagination sparks innovation, and innovation creates change. The children of Lynedoch are growing up at the intersection of creativity, community and regenerative living and your support helps make this possible.
