It is with great pleasure that as the board of the SI we share some important news.
For the past two years the Sustainability Institute has been led under the co-directorship of Jess Schulschenk and Vanessa von der Heyde. Together they actioned transformative learning at all ages alongside the strong and talented teams at programme level.
Jess became the director of the Sustainability Institute in 2015, motivated by her passion for and commitment to children, community and regenerative futures. After almost a decade fulfilling this role, and through deep reflection, she has taken the decision to step out of operational day to day management, and her last day as co-director will be 31 July 2024. Jess will remain a member of the board of trustees of the SI.
We are thrilled to announce that Vanessa will continue to lead the organisation as our Director at the Sustainability Institute. Vanessa’s exceptional leadership qualities, vision, and unwavering commitment to our shared vision have been instrumental in shaping the success of our work. Under her capable guidance, I am confident that the Sustainability Institute will continue to thrive and make a positive impact in our community and beyond.
This transition marks a significant moment for us, and on behalf of the board I want to express my full support for this change.
We also want to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation to Jess for her exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication. Her contributions have been the cornerstone of our success, and we are grateful that she will continue to be a guiding presence on our board, shaping the path forward with her wisdom and insight.
As we embark on this new chapter, we invite you to join us in celebrating this transition. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, and with Vanessa leading the way, we are confident that we will continue to innovate and make a lasting impact.
