On Tueday 10th October, the Lynedoch EcoVillage received a Special Merit Award from the the South African Housing Foundation (SAHF). The SAHF, a leading facilitator of housing delivery and innovation in the housing sector, organised a large banquet this week at Spier where awards were handed out to housing projects from around the country. The Western Cape Government’s Department of Local Government and Housing nominated the Lynedoch EcoVillage Development for a Special Merit Award. Ross Van Niekerk and Veronica Galant, both home owners in the Lynedoch EcoVillage, attended the banquet and received the award on behalf of the Lynedoch EcoVillage.
