When Danie Marais called to say he wanted to write an article for Die Burger based on the last chapter of the Just Transitions which, he said, he has just read the last thing I expected to read when the article was published on 5 May was an opening quote by Marxist academic Naomi Klein to set the scene (click HERE to read the article). Although I cannot fully understand the article, it does seem to have contextualised Lynedoch within a more radical discourse that is somewhat different to other articles about Lynedoch which have tended to depict green living as a kind of cute deviation from the mainstream that is more a curiosity than of any great significance. I guess what surprises me is that Die Burger is the last place I would have anticipated this storyline emerging.
