The Sustainability Institute participated in a research project of Rooftops Canada - Abri International, undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in partnership with the African Food Security Urban Network (AFSUN) within the African Centre for Cities (ACC) and the Sustainability Institute.
The junior aftercare programme at Lynedoch caters for of children between the ages 5 ½ to 11 (grade R to 5) and consists of a broad range of daily activities and culminates in a performance at the end of every term.

Children at Lynedoch from Grades R to 7 have the opportunity of attending an additional literacy and numeracy programme as part of the aftercare facility which is housed at the Learning for Sustainability office.

A new house is being erected in the Lynedoch Eco Village built by Siqalo Eco Builders. It is made of a compressed earth block which contains an additive from Anyway Solutions.
The Clubhouse has become the “it place” to be. It makes me wish I was still in school. It’s here, where you can get a healthy, tasty and balanced meal prepared by our own Farm2Fork team. After their lunch the children also take the responsibility to clean their own plate.
The Sustainability Institute has entered into partnership with thegreencab, to provide us with safe and reliable transportation should the need arise. Not only are they available for conference delegates, but will also be a vital service to our students.
