Fundraising philosophy
Funds will only be accepted from funders who respect the total autonomy of the Sustainability Institute and, therefore, its right to decide without interference or fear of pressure on the content of all teaching programmes, research methods and conclusions, public writing and socio-political alliances. The Sustainability Institute believes in the importance of mixing foreign and local donations, and also on the need to generate fees and to operate facilities that generate surpluses for cross-subsididing loss-leaders.
